Mark, my mom and I went to visit Kindred Oaks on Saturday. It is a beautiful wedding facility located about half way between Georgetown and Cedar Park. I found their website online and absolutely fell in love with it. Since this is the first place that we have visited we didn’t make any kind of final decisions but compared to other wedding venues that I have seen online, Kindred Oaks is at the top of my list.
Kindred Oaks is on 11 beautiful acres of hill country with lots of oak and cedar trees. When you drive up the first thing you see is the front of the main house; it has cast stone steps leading up to the front door surrounded by flower beds. In front of the house is a stone pathway that acts as an aisle leading towards the arbor where ceremonies take place.
The ceremony site looks down onto a reservoir surrounded by large oak trees. Inside the main house there are separate dressing rooms for the bride and groom and also a gorgeous honeymoon suite that we would get to stay in the night of our wedding. Behind the house is the covered pavilion where the reception is held; and adjacent to that is a deck used as the dance floor. While we were there everything was set up for a wedding being held that afternoon. Everything looked so perfect, it is exactly what I pictured: very simple, open and just a little country.
